There are talented young people at the Downtown Boxing Gym, some gifted in surprising ways. 17-year-old Dorian taught himself to play piano by ear. He says he can learn any song in a matter of hours just by listening to the notes. He cannot read music.
When Grammy-winning music producer Jeff Bass and his wife, Julie, heard Dorian play and met some of the other students at the boxing gym, they were inspired to build a music studio with instruments, recording equipment, and more. Click on the video to watch and LISTEN.
